    Hiya!

Im looking for cheap and small speakers, and a cheap amp.

Its for my computer in my study.

Budget is tiny, because its just for a computer.

Im thinking £50 for both, including any p&p....

what can I get for that? dunno really.. doesnt matter if what you have is scuffed, and beaten up as long as the drive units are all fine.

preferably really really small speakers, because the study is about 8ftx6ft - I want to listen to them, not sit on them hehe.

so if you have an old pair of speakers sitting in the attic that have been there (since forever) let me know..

Im most interested in speakers, because I thought I might get a sonic T-amp, for about £25 on e-bay.

What sort of thing?? - something like a wharfedale diamond, a small little pair of missions, some tannoy 607s, something decent but extremely cheap - age and condition not important.

brownie points gained if its not black ash :D

I live in milton keynes and can pick up from any of the following places if that saves money on the p+p budget...

    bucks
    beds
    cambs
    peterborough
    coventry
    north london

    Cheers!
    Chris

Hi andrew, exactly the right speaker, exactly the wrong price unfortunately!!!

Its a shame, but I can't justify more than £50 on my computer speakers...

Im convinced I can do it by picking up peoples cast offs :D

    thanks though!

I know the feeling, sadly I can't really drop much on them as they are brand new, unopened and will cost at least £10 to post.

If you struggle to find any others (unlikely) I might be able to drop slightly seeing as you are a MOD and all.

HI Stuart, how much would he want for the cambridge amp? - Ive got to be stingy on the amp to make room for the speakers... and theres always a Sonic T available for £23 (inc p&p)..

Andrew, appreciate the words mate. If you see a second hand pair on your travels let me know.

Don't know where you are located but I often frequent Wilson and Peacock auction rooms in Bedford, I would say that you could easily get something within your budget from somewhere like this.

    Hi!

I'll have the speakers if thats ok.

The amp - would you mind testing to see if it works? - would you take another £15 for it - £30 for speakers and amp?... I dont really want to pay more for the amp, because I quite fancy the Sonic T amps at £26..

I have no need for a CDP unfortunately..

NB - are you going to the heathrow show this weekend? - looks like I'll be going sat afternoon. We could sort it out there if you're about?

    NNB
ListeningEar - I live in NE Milton Keynes, just round the corner from you :) looks like Im sorted now though.

    Cheers!!

get on ebay and get yourself a nice pair of mission bookshelf speakers.. such as 731's or 700's and put it on the end of a cambridge audio amp... its what i used to have on my computer.. and it was cracking.
