I don't want to start an argument but I have to speak as I find.
    I miss him.
I don't know what he did and I don't want to.
A lot of the sparkle has been lost from the discussions.
Anyway I've said it, thats it, done and dusted.
    Merry Christmas to all.
    Pete.

I'm sure you could find him if you looked hard enough.

Pete, why not become a member of his blog - it's business as usual over there.

Or, alternatively, you could start an interesting thread............

Not sparkle I'm afraid but noise, insults, rudeness and ill informed ranting.

As others have said, there is a blog out there if that type of nonsense and behaviour appeals though I'll certainly not be providing a link.

Of course the cure for dullness is to post something and get some threads going ;)
    <Mark beat me to it>

Stats at this moment show 85 people reading the forum. Look again in the evening and you'll see it hit 200+ at times. As I've said before, a small number of useful threads running each day is far preferable to a forum full of screaming and shouting.

Quiet and considered or vitriolic? I prefer the former.

Plenty of oppertunity for the later on his blog. It does contain some rather extreme viewpoints though and actively encourages arguments from other forums as well as character assasinations and ad hominem in it's pure form (e.g. he is bald and therefore his opinion on hi-fi is impared), if thats your thing then its one of a kind.

I fully expect to read this on his blog quoted verbatim with some revisionist spin on how the industry is dead and the new industry of direct ebay sales is the new true path

Still, must get back to the real world where people actually enjoy being nice to other people.

He hides behind proxy hosting, so not that easy to find and that's why you cant google the blog.

Hi-fi Subjectivist is a forum. It is not a blog.

A forum is where many opinions are discussed.

Opinions contrary to or subversive of those held by the blog owner are dismissed as ad hominem and the member has their post censured at the time and subsequent to the original date of posting.

I have first hand experience of this.

I suspect we are skating on thin ice in respect of the site AUP.

Be good to not break it and have a place where, no names mentioned, we could draw attention to any issues.

Yes, so that makes Hi-fi Subjectivist a forum.

It's inaccurate and derogatory to call it a blog.

Blog is actually being polite and affording more credit than due IMO.

I think the term is 'vitriolic rant'.

I can't believe the ISP hosting the 'iRant' has not woken up to just what exactly is being hosted on their servers?
