Reccomendations for a drive unit repair - Who ?

    My speaker drive unit has now shown its fault, the cone has come partially unglued from the voice coil, this allowed the cone/voice coil assembly to twist and jam hence the greatly reduced sound output. So where or who to send it to for repair. tia Tony

    Thanks for the info, No warranty, speakers are Impulse Lali circa 1996 !! although I havn`t had them long :( . Has anybody had any experience of drive unit repair and is it best to do both sides so thay match ?

    There's a place called Wembley Loudspeakers in London that is very helpful and does such repair jobs.

    I'd second Wembley Loudspeaker. I think that JBL's are their speciality but am not sure about that TBH.
