    Hello all,

Just bought a set of Rank Domus speakers (massive things) off ebay for repairing and reselling.

Apart from a couple of dents, the only problem is that the 10" bass driver needs reconing, the rubber around the edge has come away but is still in one piece.

Is there anywhere that I can get these fixed as I don't know which I would need to replace them.

Also, I paid £10 for the speakers, if I fixed them up, would I get my money back?

    Thanks

    Andrew

If you google to find coning services you'll find that they'd cost around 40 quid per unit to recone/refoam. You'd never get that back selling them on.

    I did wonder.

I have read that plastic cement might work so will give that a go.

Then am going to clean them up and fit proper binding posts and hopefully make a profit

    re reconing a speaker

ive recently had my omar speakers fully reconed by paul segal in northumberland, the result is stunning if you have decent speakers and like the sound it definatley worth reconing them. Don't worry to much what you will get reselling on ebay who cares, finding something that performs as good as 70's and 80's era speakers new is very difficult and expensive!

you can contact paul segal on: 01493 750075
