A Sad day. Due to a stroke nearly a year ago, I'll never cue vinyl again (or walk, work or type properly).

I have a large collection of LPs to sell and need to raise as much as possible. I would not even get them out of their sleeves to grade them (I'd drop them) . Most are excellent only played a few time on audiophile decks, some were bought in street markets for 20p and vary. Can't remember which are which and can't check.

All are roots/world/jazz/soul/funk/african/latin/blues/folk/reggae/ska/50s RnB/rockabilly/country. Not one rock or indie LP. Named artists would be Waits, Van, Cooder, Richard Thompson, Emmyliou, Guy Clark and more. These are a small part of the collection.

Selling individually is not an option. I might sell the Studio 1/Lee Perry stuff that way but it would be difficult for me.

If say I could get several collectors who would like a varied box once a month or so and paid what they thought was a fair price we could go from there. I want to get rid of the lot, not just the obviious rarities. As time went on and trust developed, the valuable stuff would be included.

I'm not interested in people who only want ska or soukous etc. I know these are valuable and should be treated as the icing on the cake of other good records

I used to consider buying records more Importnt than eating. I was a software contractor working in Europe spending Saturdays record hunting. The more obscure the better. Half the time I didn't have a deck.......

I have never counted them. {There's about 5-6 yards packed tightly)

The deal would be the best payers got the most interesting lps. If I thought the piss was being taken, no more boxes.

I'd prefer to deal with established posters. PM me with your tastes and I'll see what the response is like and we can go from there. This has taken me two hours to type so further conversations would be via skype.

I live in Galway Ireland. If a group wanted to visit with a van that would be another option.

Please no dealers. I need to raise as much dosh as possible

    Cheers

    Geoff
