    Hi all,

I've just turned my mind to refurbishing the plinth of my turntable instead of buying a new one. My table has been out of production for 12 years so the manufacturer is not sure whether they have any left.

I am looking for a fabricator in the London area who maybe able to help me fabricate a new one. I am thinking of adopting the sandwiched construction adopted by Clearaudio on their ambient turntable using panzerholz and aluminium composite sheets which would replace the current MDF plinth.

Any comments from people who have fabricated their turntable would be great.

    Thanks for any assistance.

    Regards
    Al

    Hi Zanash,

My table is an NA Mentor. NA will look if they have any as soon as I send them a pic of the version I have. I am attracted of maybe fabricating one to make it unique.

Any further advice would be great.

    Thanks
    Al
