    Hi folks.

I've just got a 2nd hand Rega Cursa. I've plugged it into my Audiolab 8000P and it seems far too quiet. I've got it cranked to about halfway and that's not even what my 8000A (previous preamp) belted out at less than a quarter. And to be honest it doesn't sound as good either.

I know the output on the Cursa is adjustable and I think this may need tweaking. Can anybody advise?

    Thankyou.

OK. Apparently it's fine to turn the loud past 12 0'clock on the Cursa.
I always thought this was bad, and the audiolab would have made my ears bleed for it.

Still interested in details of upping the gain though if people know.

As far as 12.00 O'clock goes, just ignore it, wind the thing to the end if you have too.
Which cursa is it?, the 3 has adjustable gain from the remote, the Cursa 2000 has 3 dip switch settings inside, the older one's I.m not sure. They tell me (who they) that the default setting (middle one) is so that you can adjust the volume with the remote in reasonable steps.

It's the 2000. With the internal dips.
