    Hi
Anyone out there give me some comments on the use of theExon mono amps.

Have a look at my signature for my present system. Thinking of upgrading to the Exon amps in place of the Maia units.

Has anyone else tried this? is it a cost effective upgrade?

I like the Rega sound, other possibility is to upgrage the pre amp from my original 2000 model to the Cursa 3, supposedly another good move.

    Thanks.

I have the same amp setup, they are brilliant arn't they !

The Cursa is the weakest link in the Cursa/Maia set up.

I am looking to upgrade, but can not find anything as musical and enjoyable as the Regas !

Which ones do you have ? I have the original cast alloy type, looks stunning !

    Mmm - Rega :)

I reckon the Exons might be better, as you're using two stereo power amps (I think), and using monos means the power supply is dedicated for each channel.

I've got the Planet mk1, Mira 2000, NAD533(Rega P2 oem) and mk1 Elas in my upstairs system - Rega rock!

The Naim stuff I use downstairs is better, but not by much...

    Hi
I don't have the original Cursa, I have the 2000 version . Rega improved this pre amp with the introduction of the 3 version. Any feedback on this model from anyone?

I've not been bothered to compare by 2000 series Cursa to the current 3 series so can't comment on this possible upgrade path. The Exon amps would be a great addition to your system, assuming you actually need the extra power - which I'd find hard to believe given you've got two Maia's in place already!

Me too - even my Mira 2000 has a shedload of quality grunt - in many respects, I'm wandering if I should just try a couple of Rega power amps in place of my 180, once I get a Hicap...

Dom - probably worth trying out. I'd be interested in your thoughts on how the Naim and Rega power amps compare.
