I use Liverpool and Victoria, they don't mind mods, unless you increase the engine size.Big brakes, zorst, wheels, whatever, they don't charge more for (Tescos wanted £350 p/a for 4 pot AP brakes on the Scoob)

I have 9 points and pay £700 fully comp on the vRS,probably a dillion quid excess though

It was a little windy at the beach, but the squid and clams with white wine sangria, while watching the waves and bikinis rolling on the sand, where priceless... :groupies:

Lets keep the thread going a bit; what cars have you all owned then?

Here are mine - the years are that of the cars not the year I got them (although 5, 10 and 11 were brand new cars):

    1. 1972 Hilman Hunter 1725
    2. 1970 Ford Cotina 1300 deluxe
    3. 1968 Ford Cortina 1600E
    4. 1979 Ford Capri 2000GL

So, that tought me all about oversteer. Then:

    5. 1989 Ford Fiesta 1.4Ghia (company car)
    6. 1986 Golf GTI (8v)
    7. 1992 Toyota MR2 GT
    8. 1990 Saab 9000 2.3 Turbo (auto)
    9. 1993 Honda CRX Vti (with the barmy electric targa roof)
    10. 1998 Subaru Impreza Turbo
    11. 2002 BMW 320DSE (saloon)

    Matt.

    1. VW beetle 1500 (1969 vintage) that taught me how to spin a car properly.

    2. VW Golf GTI 1.8 (Mk1) great car

    3. Peugeot 309 1.6 crap car

    4. Saab 9000 2.0 big, comfy car

    5. BMW 328i sport coupe (1996 vintage) best drivers' car I've had. A bit hairy in the wet.

P.S. Paul, I think I'll be able to collect him, but not entirely sure. I don't actually know where Gilmour St is, btw.

    bikes...
    1) Yamaha (iirc) or-50 - fell off and electrics went wonky. scratched a wolfs head into the petrol tank 'cos i was young and stupid.
    2) Karasaki AR-80. stipped the rear sproket- replacement kept throwing the chain on roundabouts. eventually got blinded by oncomming traffic whilst raining and ran it into a raingully - put the front forks through the radiator.
    3) Yamaha RD 125LC. bloody fast until oil starvation caused a piston to explode at 80mph. repaired but never as good as it was. sold on...

    1) MG Metro - at least it wasn't a nova
    2) Ford Fiesta XR2. - ok car actually no major problems.
    3) Chevy Van. monster v8 engine and evil handling. rocket ship to 50mph then it's aerodynamic disadvantage cut in. Evil squeaky mice had taken up residence in the rear sliding door at anything over 40mph making long journeys equivalent to chinese water torture.
    4) Nissan 200SX - bloody lethal in the wet - spun it 360+ a few times
    5) Ford Fiesta XR2. - a true shit heap. when i came to sell it the bonet fell off - still sold though.
    6) Hyundai Sonata - built like a f*cking tank fuel economy to match
    7) Citroen BX TZD. - Massively economical and very comfy. suspension eventually immolated itself and started jacking itself up when the brake was pressed. went to the crusher.
    8) Peugeot 406 v6 SE Coupe. My first new car - obscenely fast and fun handling (central bedford to the point milton keynes in 10 minutes - on an empty road at 1am though) looked absolutely amazing. unfortunately it was vandalised and the repair shop botched it all together with baling wire and chewing gum. thankfully it went back to the leasing co a few months after that.
    9) Lexus LS 400. Awful fuel economy but supremely comfortable and just as fast if not faster than the pug (135 in 3rd gear with another to go). still sat in my back garden as i entertain dreams of ressurecting it but will probably flog it soon.
    10) Rover 400 sdi. economical and comfy(ish) not much else really.

oh yes on a fishy joke subject.
    what's the definition of confusion?

a blind lesbian in a fish market - ithankew.
    cheers
