Lets face it Robbo, Mercedes is a bit of a snoozemobile. Lovely free gunsight for targeting the poor pedestrians on the crossing, though.

The 'kudos' & snob-value of Merc is restricted to the UK, AFAICT. In every other European country, a Mercedes=a taxi.

Only time will tell. Should be interesting.

I have some CDs which have 'farked-out' every pair of speakers I've played them on except one. Heh, heh.

    James,

I'll make one of my 'Wildly unprofessional statements here copyright Bub@2004'
I feel you, will find AK's, not as immediate or as adgile as yours, it'll be no slouch, the bass will be a touch deeper but not as room filling, though the mid range presence/texture/body of the Bow surprise you, along with its quite analogue 'flow' and interest factor. Bow gear is very musical
I may not be your cup of tea, however I suspect an enjoyable and involving system, that is pleasure to listen too, something rare in todays hifi orintated reproduction systems

Got to say though if I was going to do up a classic I'd do one of these.

Nice choice but if we're going foreign affordable classics then I'll pick one of these (and yes I prefer the later versions):

Well maybe if you are driving around in an E220d. I dont suppose there are many 3.2L V6 taxis though! At least the Euro taxi drivers know a thing or two about car durability.

See, still going strong after 40 years

So Robbo, if you have the Merc for taxi duties, did you keep the Cavalier for those late night pizza drops?
