I currently have an 0845 number but it belongs to my VOIP provider and there is one or two issues with it so I might want to change once my credit is up.

The business number needs to stay the same for obvious reasons so I was thinking of renting an 0845 number so it dosn't matter who provides the telecommunications.

Has anybody got any experience of this? Prices seem to vary a lot and I want to know what the pit falls are.

No but how about hiring a Skype call-in number? You get to choose some of the digits and you can choose to symbolic-link to a major UK town close to most of your callers to save them money, if you like.

I already have a SIP based Ethernet VOIP phone, the problem is I might want to try different providers so I need my own number for this reason.
