Anyone make any resolutions this year?

Anyone actually stuck to them ;)

Get in shape, and be stricter with my savings.

Best present recieved? I'm currently using my new frying pan! haha! First time I've had one of them as a present!

    resolutions?

Yes keep it going with the Polish....it most certainly is a tricky one to crack.

The y speak very quickly at work which makes it very difficult to follow.

My favourite present was a very small amphibian -- he's my newt.

Thats a good point David. I had not been able to think of any resolutions to make, but I will now make one to continue (and make more effort) learning Chinese Mandarin. You think Polish is tricky then try that one, lol! ;)

    Yes, ok.

    Chinese comes first

    Polish is 2nd IIRC.

Whats prompted this Simon......at the risk of being indelicate....?

I don't think there is an official 'how hard is language to learn' list, but I think Japanese, Arabic and Finnish are some of the other hardest. I have no idea how hard Polish is to be honest!

I've been learning (teaching myself) Chinese for about 8 months. Not got very far, partly due to lack of determination but also its just hard. There are a few reasons why I wanted to learn. Its an interesting place with lots of culture, its a good challenge and they have pretty girls! :) I'd probably have chosen to learn Japanese, but my brother already did that so I don't just want to play catch-up to him all the time.

I also find I have a lot of Japanese in my head from watching anime, and it tends to get a little muddled in there :( I want to find a place to learn with others near me (i.e. college) but there are not many round here who want to learn it.

Is there a special Polish lady you want to impress David?

    Does he/she have a name? Pic's please :)

My new frying pan is coming along great. Amazing the difference a good pan makes to an egg! Top stuff!

Also got a Wii, but only the bundled game and too skint (see "sort finances" resolution), to get any others. Quite fancy something like Zelda, alone in the dark or res evil. Recommendations?

I'm still suffering with Man Flu and feel out of breath constantly and as if I've just had the sh*t kicked out of me. So the get in shape thing's making slow progress. I've been sticking to it though, and already see a few muscles waking up again.

It was certainly suggested by a friendly female colleague.

That much i'll give you and nothing more :D (Bożena....ok....I'll give you that).

No, no pics, that sounds like a route to trouble.

FWIW polish women do keep themselves in pretty nice shape as rule. Which is more than can be said for some of the examples round here. :(

Not meaning to start ww3 or anything.

    Think.....5*9"........brunette........slim...... late 20s........(a)natural beauty.

    (no longer a colleague BTW)
