Returning goods purchased online?

    I purchased "1 of: Logitech X-230 - PC multimedia speaker system" from amazon back in March. I've had no sound working on the computer for a little while and couldn't see the problem. I tried the speakers on another 2 computers and they didn't work.

    So, seeming as they seem shagged (not sure how they've had only a little use, and nothing excessive), am I entitled to a refund/repair/replacement etc...?

    They were only £30, but worth a try. I can't see any mention on amazon about goods purchased over 30 days ago, but thought I'd read/heard somewhere about 1year gurantee for electronic items purchased online?

    They should have at least a years warranty. Contact Amazon in the first instance abouting claiming on the warranty. The have to offer a repair, replacement or refund

    When a harddrive of mine went tits, I contacted them, and bugger me they were fine, just told me to send back what I had left of the device. I even confessed to taking the actual drive out of the casing.

    Full refund including the cost of my delivering back. Couldn't complain at that. On the other hand at around that time I spent hundreds on CDs as well from selling my deck. I don't know if that helped.

    I have found Amazon to be the M&S of internet retailing. IE Money back, no questions asked.

    Just an update.

    Amazon have been great! Like gary mentioned himself, I've spent a fair aMOunt on the site over the years so maybe that influences the service, but they've been spot on.

    Instant appology and assurance of replacement or refund. Just asked I contact the manufacturer to see what they can advise first. I contacted logitech spelling out that all connections are correct, it's plugged in and powers up etc... All the usual idiot proof stuff you're asked to do. And I recieved a reply asking me to ... check all connections and that it's plugged in etc... :lol:

    Emailed amazon to let them know the results of the contact with Logitech and after confirming I'd be happy with a replacement rather than refund, it was here in 2 days!

    They didn't even want the old one returned before sending the replacement! I've 30 days to return it.

    Big thumbs up!

    I've got sound back on my pc! woo hoo!
