With regards to heating, things haven't changed since the Alpha 9. The 192 also sounds its best after an hour. As well as electronics, speaker voice coils also change slightly as they warm up so you're never gonna get entirely away from warm-up ;)

I have just got a nice camera which I am borrowing for a bit. A Fuji S9500. I have had it about 5min so I'm not that good yet but I took some pics of the Django as a test.

Not to bad at all. I still hear a bit of harshness but I will do the DEQ2496 mod soon. The Chord transport, although good, added even more harshness. I only noticed when I went back to my normal one though.

I think with the mod to the DEQ and a nice transport the Django will stay. It has awesome detail, speed and dynamics.

    S&B Django

    Hi Tensen,
My S&B Django landed on Monday. It drives 7.5Ms of balanced cable without needing the +6dB of gain. Its fantastic straight out of the box!!! - its like a heavy curtain has been removed. I'm not experiencing harshness with any of my sources: Accu tuna, Marantz SA-14 CDP or Kuzma Stabi/Shelter/EAR 834P. I thought the amorphous version was supposed to sound even sweeter. My active pre is already up for sale.
