    Hello,

I am thinking about getting a Rotel RA-01 from Practical Hi-fi in Lancaster to replace my Cambridge C500/P500.

I was wondering if I should biamp with my cambridge power amp or just biwire to my mission 702e's

I am using Supra Rondo speaker cable and a Marantz CD6000OSE CD-Player.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

    Andrew

there may be gain problems useing 1 cambridge and 1 rotel for bi-amping. IE the amps could have different gain between them.
As for Biwire - dont bother it makes no difference IME

IMHO,I would change thoes dreadful missions first,702e I'd think you'd get more gains in that area first.

For the MOney (probably under £100 from RS) the 702e's aint bad IMO.

At the price you're looking at theirs a few other amps you should be considering too. Nad, Marantz, etc etc.......

Try and audition as many as possible, and keep your peepers peeping in the classifieds here and elsewhere.

I'd certainly consider hanging onto the C500/P500 and changing the speakers first... you'd need to do a bit of auditioning to be sure though.
