    I got some XLR balanced attenuators from Rothwell and stuck them between my pre and power. Made just the difference I was looking for. Cost about £70 though :eek:

    I attenuated some balanced cables, did the trick nicely. Cost - c. 50p for the resistors, a penny worth of solder and electricity.

    vs. £70 for Rothwells, gotta be worth a try at least!
