This is by far not the first time a reviewer gets an interest in an audio manufacturer or vice versa. I've seen magazines like Hifi News handle this very well in the past.

As said, not the first time, but definitely the most blatant and perhaps even cynical one. What I would wish for now is that Mr.Gregory spends less time reviewing, so that we get to read less boring, tedious, and formulaic 'reviews' and less of his ego-growing (?) gratuitous kicking at those who do not take his prose for gospel (remember the VTA wars with TNT?). Mr.Gregory has created a new magazine with a nice smell and wonderful photography. For that I thank him. But that's about it.

Surely Roy was far more useful to Nordost in his previous role!

But reviews are business, as usual... And it's probably the most efficient marketing tool too.

    Reviewing software

Here's the reviewers best friend (available in french only):

    http://laurentdrouvot.chez.com/Pipotron.htm.html

    Example:

"Après avoir remarqué la qualité de fabrication de ce câble, il convient de reconnaitre que la globalité des sociétés concurrentes vont devoir mesurer leur retard. Le prix s'oublie ... mais la qualité reste. Fantastique !"

it's even more interesting if you run it through babelfish:

"After having noticed the quality of manufacture of this cable, it is advisable to recognize that the globality of the concurrent companies will have to measure their delay. The price s' forget… but quality remains. Fantastic!"
