The big vicious thug has gone, walked out apparently.
He won't be missed by the premiership.
    Good riddance

Not the force he once was, IMHO, as a player, but his dressing room influence will be missed....anyone else reckon he might be off to Celtic for one final season?

Surely he will be off to play for Sunderland, him having such a good relationship with their manager.

Not if, as he says, he wont play for another english club.

Besides, no decent play in their right mind would play for the mackems :p

It was a joke Paul - Sunderland are managed by Mick McCarthy who Keene is not too fond of - Keene stormed out of Republic's squad during World Cup 2002, branding McCarthy an English c*** in the process

I'd like to see him come to Celtic. I think he could still do a job for us. The thing is, we've quite a lot of youngsters coming through and in midfield it's only really Lennon's holding role I'd be looking to cover. Keane would be a good player for the role, but it's hardly a long term fix. And with Lennon being a mainstay I think we'll be trying to fit both into the midfield.
Not a bad problem to have, but will be interesting to see how it goes.

According to Sky Sports News, several tabloids will be carrying the story toMOrow (today) that he's set to join Juventus! Keane and Viera linking up!

God that was one awful match. The most boring I've seen in many a moon. I wish teams wouldn't turn out determined not to lose rather than trying to win

Roy Keane will not earn £90000 a week any more infact he was lucky Man u offered him a year extension to his contract last year. He will probably sign for a club untill the end of the season and take it from there.

Never mind he'll have his tax free testimonial cash to keep the wolves from the door.

Testimonials makes me sick, the original reson for a testimonial was to raise some money for a football player at the end of his career maybe due to injury. These days the players on hugh sums of money should now have to pay tax.

Most premiership players give the testimonial money to a charity these days.

The only one I can think of is Niall Quin. I've a feeling someone else did it but I couldn't be sure.

Niall Quinn, Tony Adams (2nd testimonial), Garry Kelly, Lucas Radebe gave the lot away. Seaman, Giggs, Fergie, Irwin all gave a large percentage to charity, in fact I think Seaman gave the lot. Gary Neville turned down a testimonial so that he could have a large testimonial when he retires which will be for a charity he is invloved with. Im sure Shearer will do it all for charity, gave alot of money to a local childrens hospice in Chorley and opened a school within ewood park when he left blackburn, which he funds.

Im not defending those that dont need it and I think its a worthwhile event for lower league player.

Well done, but on a pedantic note Radebe was not a premiership player when he had a testimonial.

Jeesus that was pedant-tastic. Lukas rates as one of the football greats in my book - OK he wasnt the absolute best player, but he is a great man.
George Best - drinks himself to death - even on someone elses liver.
Lukas Radebe - Commits himself to charity and the fight against racism.

    George Best is revered (sp?)
    Lukas is almost forgotten.

    Go figure.
