Rubber Johnny - Chris Cunningham

Anyone seen it?

6-7 min's long dvd and a 40something page book.

Is it worth the cash?

I'm guessing yes.

The cover's erm..... interesting....

 

I've had this since it came out, and I think it is very good. It just touches 6 minutes (including end credits) but it is so complex that it demands multiple viewings. It is dark, funny, twisted and downright cool - Chris Cunningham all over really. If you already like his previous work then I highly recommend it. And if you buy direct from Warp you get a free sticker!

As with the mighty boosh dvds......... do I keep it for MOself or give it as a present

 

If you like Chris Cunningham check out his 'directors' dvd. Great videos for the Aphex Twin - who I think did the music for Rubber Johnny.

 

Awesome DVD, the Squarepusher video in particular is a classic!! Madonna's video stands out as the weak, commercial piece of sh*t - no surprises there really My only gripe about the DVD is that the image isn't presented anamorphically, but you can't have everything I suppose.
