I don't like the fact he charges people more than he should, not the same thing at all

I've had mixed results with the Russ Andrews stuff. First thing I bought was a 6-way mains extension. Made a very noticeable improvement in my system, and an even better one in a friends system. Cost me £60 and I was over the moon running bog-standard no-name power leads off it.

After that, I tried a Yello power lead into the CD player. Couldn't hear a difference. Likewise when I tried the Yello into the amp. Hmm...

After that, I upgraded the 6-way to an 8-way power block (about £220). I was prepared to be blown away. Couldn't hear any difference at all.

Fair play though, Mr Andrews is as good as his word on the 'no quibble' returns policy. I sent the 8-way back after a few weeks and got my money back pronto.

Conclusions.....I dunno. Some people can't hear a difference, some can hear lots of difference, I heard lots with one bit of kit and none with others. So, maybe the RA stuff is heavily system-dependent?
