I've received in the post this morning one of those scam letters. This one is from Prince Koroma telling me about the riches which await me as a result of his fathers death. £10 000 000, gold, silver, diamonds etc. Usual thing.

My question is whether or not there is a special telephone number with which to contact the police about it? Or do i just ring the local branch? Or will they not be interested anyway? It has some contact details on the letter, plus postmark from the Gambia on the envelope etc, so i thought they may be mildly interested, or is this old hat now?

    cheers

Apparently he got my address from his late fathers address book (which he spelt wrong). Never knew i had connections with royalty :D

Cheers Pen. I'll give the local Old Bill a tinkle then, see if he wants it forwarding on.

Right, i've spoken to the Dibble, and they want me to hand over the gear at my local Cop Shop.

    Sorted

Thought they might have offered me a lollipop for my efforts at least, considering i just passed over my share in £10 000 000.

yea, I always received them - this is one of my typical replies...this particular one had been going on some time -

    Sir,

you remind me of my late father with your rendetion of the Everly Brothers tract of Wake Up Little Sussie and i cryed all day after reading your mail hoping that your assistance will bring succour to my family.

Meanwhile, be informed that there is a security alert on funds and assets of former military officers in my country as well as Terrorist alarm which means that a change of plan has to be done to avoid jeopardy. Henceforth, do not send mails to me using this address from where this mail is been sent. All future correspondence should be via [email protected] and this must be taking seriousely. Under no condition should you contact me via this libero.it email address if truely you want to dry my tears.

Also, because of the United Nations crack down on terrorist and their financiers as a result of the Sept. 11th attack on New York all funds or consignments from countries within the African and Middle East regions are thoroughly scrutinised and knowing the nature of our deal, it becomes a security risk to effect its transfer from either Africa or the Middle East. Consequently, i have concluded arrangement with the Principal Security Company of my fathers assets in Canada to assist with the transfer you are therefore advised/directed to cease forthwith all communication written/oral with the City Trust Securities to avoid investigation by the IRS and the DEA of the American authorities who have accused and identified City Trust in a case of Terrorism which though is presently been investigated but we cannot wait.

For further directive on where you are to collect the funds, contact the Canadian Security Trust Company via email: [email protected] who will furnish you with the necessary information.
To be forewarned is to be forearmed so you must follow my instructions strictly.

    Love always

    Your daughter - Susan

    Mr Cat,

That email makes no sense whatsoever. What can they be thinking.

hi, yeah, it s continuation from other e-mails I've received from 'Susan' - tho I don;t have them at hand as they're stored in some personal folders on my PC at my normal office (I'm doon south for a short while!), but I did say that I'd agree to her wishes...:MILD:

btw - feel free to e-mail her at - [email protected]
even better if you can cut and paste a previously received scam e-mail (from someone else) to her, I'm sure she'll appreciate it...
