Seagrass carpet

    Has anyone had experience of this stuff. Ive seen some I like but Ive heard mixed opinions. One friend had it and said its a complete pain but she still loved it. Ive heard others say its great stuff. Any ideas?

    Its similar. Its totally natural and looks pretty good. My immediate concern is the harshness, could be abit rough on the flesh **cough**. Im quite interested but dont want to blow a load of cash.

    A friend of mine had the stuff I mentioned and it looked great but she said it was a pain and would never have it again. It was impossible to clean, less than comfy to walk (amongst other things) on. Some of the carpets with similar pattern work well without the drawbacks.

    I think I know what the 'amongst other things' is and that has crossed my mind. I have seen something similar thats a wool blend.

    Yeh! Carpet burns are for wusses, with that stuff its 'where are my knees and can I have a blood transfusion?' :D

    Thats the stuff I meant, we had that and it looked good and wore well.

    You can get lots of carpets that look similar to these nowadays, and don't have the problems like poor stain resistance, shrinkage, wear etc that these natural fibre carpets can be prone to. Shame, because they look nice.
