OK, this guy is nowhere near like his Dad but would you really want that...? I certainly don't and that's why I bought this CD.

Sound quality is excellent and recorded at a very sensible level unlike most of the dross available these days. There are a few instances of mike 'popping' on the vocals but overall it is excellent.

The songs are very good if you're into American folk but this is very modern with a similar twist to the lyrics. All very sensible and not at all cheesy. The acoustic guitar and bass (played by Dylan) sound first class and are again well recorded. All in all a distinct step up from his father and easily recommended.

I tend to disagree with this as I find when listening to this excellent CD that whilst it is well produced, recorded and the songs crafted with a high degree of skill, that I cant help thinking that "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree."

He is in no way trying to emulate his father and is totally original in his style and songs but something of the genuis of his father has rubbed off on him.

The songs are well crafted, yet they seem a bit overworked and not as fresh as they could have been.

This is a fine album and well worth a critical listen.
