Due to impending house purchase, I am selling all my hifi. Everything is in excellent condition and boxed unless stated.

Sim Moon Eclipse CD Player (four months old, latest model. Rated as one of the finest available alongside the wadia 861 and Levinson 390s. ML like staging with Naim like rythmn) new £5495 sell for £2750

Sim Moon P5/W3 Pre Power (four months old, fabulous! Musical with great timing and tremendous bass weight) new £8000 sell for £4500

Tact RCS2.2X (digital preamp/upsampler/room correction/active crossover. The heart of the finest system I have ever heard.) new £5300 sell £2750

Teac P30 (reference Cd transport-no box) new £2895 sell for £1450

Custom JBL subwoofers (music subs, featuring the 1500AL bass driver from the speaker PM considers the best in the world. Placed in a cabinet custom built professionally to a design by Greg Timbers, chief engineer at Harman). These things do what subs should do, just add weight to small speakers. Intensly musical. Not really for AV. new approx £3000 each. I have two, will sell for £1500 each or £2000 the pair. These are passive designs without crossovers. Work superbly with the Tact RCS2.2X

Crown K1 digital amplifier (for subwoofers) 350wpc, great bass. new £1295 sell for £800

Merlin VSM Millenium floorstanding loudspeakers. One of only two pairs in the country, these are without doubt one of the finest small speakers on the planet. Stereophile favourably compared them with the Sonus Faber Amati Homage soundwise, and I think they are better. I have yet to hear a better speaker for a typical UK living enviroment and I had electrostatics before! Check out the feedback at www.merlinmusic.com. Cost new £6000 plus shipping. Sell for £2500.

HHB professional CDR recorder Burnit+. Brand new. Balanced in/out. Word clock input + SRC. new £620 sell for £480

    Cardas Golden Reference Interconnects. Balanced 1x1mtr and 1x0.5mtr, s/e 0.5mtr. new £995, £725, £715. sell for £500, £395, £375.

Finite Element Pagode E14 rack. Maple and brushed aluminium. Two months old. Cost £1195 sell for £800

Stax Omega 2/SRM007T headphones. New £2995 sell for £1500

VDH Integration hybrid balanced interconnect (two pairs) new £150 each. sell for £90 each.

Omiga Audio Liberator Balanced interconnect 1 pair x 1mtr. cost new £500. sell for £350 or £175 each as AES/EBU

Proac Response Speaker Cable 3.5mtr pair. really chunky in more ways than one! New £850 sell for £250.

Soundstyle 105 Silver rack. New £300 sell for £120

Mission Isoplat in original crackle finish (circa 1985) £19.99 (just for Cookie)

damned good Mountain Bike for sale too!!!! Ellsworth Truth with all the bits(Fox forx, XT,Hope,Easton), small size, anodised blue. new £3500 sell for £1500!!

Yeah, but in its favour Wales is a biggish place - i think it could well make a viable house. And with the money that's left over, you could sack the sheep and make a large lamb pudding for all the ZG'ers to enjoy at your Waleswarming bakeoff fest.

All that kit seems to hold its value about as well as a NAP500 after WM's been at it...

Paul, the problem is that a NAP500/552/CDX2 would have cost twice as much in the first place, lost just as much money in the interim, and not sounded anywhere near as good whilst listening to music.Who was it who said "It is better to have loved and lost ,than to have never loved at all";)

Holy crap Merlin. What are you going to replace that lot with? I've got a 1985 Naim 42.5/110 combo you can have for £200. You just need to supply a source, a pair of Kans, and some NACA5 :D

Ah OK, forgot about your AV system! So you're not going cold turkey after all then. What's the AV amp and speakers your using then?

Aha! So how is the DENON 2900 with CDs. How does it compare to, say, an Alpha 9?

Re: Re: Selling the lot!! Consider Linn Classik as PX.

Sounds like a good little basic system, why bother with a Linn Classic too? Is the Rotel just a normal stereo hi-fi amp, is it is a/v too?

LMAO!! :) No, no, me first, I've a Linn Classic to swap!! :argue: ;)
