Are they any good? I currently use PX40's for my portables but they are looking old and take up to space so I was thinking of getting in the ear kind.

I am not sure if I should go for the MX400 or MX500 how much better do the MX500 sound?

They're acceptable for earbuds. Not much bass though. Unless you need the volume control, go with the MX400.

Thanks, do you know how they will sound compared to the Senhieser PX40's?

It probaboly dosn't matter too much as the PX40's are too big to take with me anyway.

Paul's right about the lack of bass, but turn on the bass extention and they tend to break up easily. the player i use is pretty weak, with something that can give a bit more oomph it'd be less of an issue.

the mid & high are pretty damn good though, so worth the trade-off to me.

Yeah, they're alright. Pretty inoffensive and nothing to write home about, but not sh*t.

I bought the MX400's in the end, I got them from Richers for £9 after playing Superfi and RS against each other. They sound ok, not HIFI but then you can never really get HIFI on buses due to external noises.

My cable on my main headphones broke today too so I had to buy a new cable for that.
