    not to sell it twice.
im selling some tweeters and i was watching the same tweeters go on e bay.
i contacted the loosing bidder and told him i was selling the same tweeters (i only just found out im not allowed to do this outside e bay, oops). he said he wanted to buy them and to get a price for p+p to tokyo and he would pay me through paypal for them.
should i list them on e bay , send him the link and let him use buy it now option to keep us both safe with this transaction?
i have no intention whatsoever of taking his money and not sending him his tweeters but id just like to make this as safe as possable for both of us.

    what do you guys recon?

    cheers,

    Rob

Your intentions are obviously good and you are doing nothing wrong (ebay rules excepted). However, if it was me buying I'd want some evidence you actually had the items concerned e.g. photos before I sent my money off to somebody I've never met and who had sent me an email out-of-the-blue.

But that's his problem, not yours!

If you do it through ebay, you end up giving them some of your money.

You should read their terms. To qualify for seller protection you need to follow Paypals rules exactly and even when the money is transferred into your bank account they can still do a 'chargeback'. I use Paypal but don't have any illusions about it being particularly secure or safer than any other method.

As for the buyer check his history, what items he has been bidding on/bought and the feedback he's got.

I buy and sell things through ebay once auctions have finished, if I miss them or something and have never had a problem so far.

As long as he pays via paypal you should be ok and he sounds genuine enough.

Ebay will just charge you to list it, then you will need a buy-it-now for him and then they will take another % of the selling price, plus the 4% that paypal steal, the rules aren't worth that sort of money!!!

Rob You can send him an invoice via paypal and wait for the funds to clear before shipment to him.
