Nope - not for me :) Mate of mine in Portugal is thinking of getting a Meridian G08 but is wondering whether to stretch to a SimAudio Nova. He's a big fan of SimAudio gear but hasn't heard the Nova.

Anyone who's heard both (merlin, WM for example :D ) got any comments on how they compare?

    Michael.

Finally got to hear a fully run in G08 Michael. Before running in it was quite lively for a Meridian. Listening now, it's:SLEEP:

Word on the grapevine is that the G07 is the one, far more lively and fun, no upsampling you see;) To be honest, on reflection, I have yet to hear an upsampling system, working above 96khz, that plays music whilst retaining any semblance of flow and what some would call groove.

    Hifi's going backwards for Christmas;)

Mike, I'm afraid it's back to the old Music V's Presentation again, both players are good stuff, top build, quality materials etc.
The sim, has a raw dynamic edge that keeps you intersted, but has great flow, not naim like 'manged' but it's a grown up naim with the right bits, the Go8 is definately about the presenational aspects of the music, you know which one I'd go for, but the guys needs to demo both in his own room, then watch for any signs of the corner of the mouth moving :D Wm
