I'm thinking of 88db + and no less than 6ohms minimum. I'm having a domestic rearrange and listening in the nearfield again(Which I think I prefer), My Audes dont sound good firing across my 27x15 lounge (too much bass) and I'm thinking of going for some quality standmounts and having an active sub for those Saturday morning moments. Budget is up to 1k SH for the speakers and stands. I'd go for Harbeths but never see any S/H and obviously not so easy to drive but do sound great IMHO.

I have toyed with this sub/standmount idea for ages and have now decided to take the plunge. Lots to do wth technobears recent additions!
