I’m selling off some sound absorber panels which are surplus to my own needs. They were originally specified by an architect for a public building, but were never used, for some reason. They sat in storage for a couple of years and I then bought them as a job lot for my own use. However there were more in the lot than I'd expected, so I've got quite a few left over.

They are suitable for the acoustic treatment of listening rooms, home cinemas, home or professional studios, conference venues, or any other spaces where sound treatment is required. They are broadband (mid and treble) absorbers, with comparable performance to the more typical absorbers sold through pro-audio sources. However these are 'designer' absorbers  usually sold through professional interior design outlets. (Some products from the Soundwave range are displayed in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.)

Background info: the Soundwave range of panels was designed by Teppo Asikainen for the innovative Scandinavian design company Snowcrash, in the 1990s. Snowcrash has since ceased to exist, but the Soundwave range has been bought by another Scandinavian design company, Offecct.

I'm selling the ‘Swoop’ panels (since renamed 'Luna' by Offecct). They are the most useful panels in the range as they are broadband absorbers, with good performance in the mid and high frequencies. Tests of their absorption performance by the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute can be found here:
    http://www.project-inrichting.nl/pdf/wanden/OFFECCT-Soundwave-Soundtest-Witteveen.pdf

Other models in the range such as the Scrunch and Swell are less useful because they absorb high frequencies principally.

The panels I’m selling were reviewed in SoundStage! here:
    http://www.soundstage.com/planethifi/planethifi200311.htm

Each panel measures 585mm square, and 80mm deep. They have a mid-grey felt appearance. Photos of these panels are here:
    http://www.designcraft.net.au/product.asp?pID=730&iID=1827
    and here:
    http://www.lifeiscarbon.com/weblog/2006/11/soundwave.html

These panels normally sell for at least £90 each. I would be looking for £110 for four, plus shipping. I've got quite a few so if you want a different quantity let me know.

I just discovered that the first of the two links in the OP to pictures of the panels was no longer leading to the right page. I've edited the link so it's working again. That might help a bit.:)

I only registered to speak to you.

Do you still have 4 left?

Is it only Swoop you have?

    Would you post to London?

    Very interested.

    Hi Peter,

Sorry for not getting back quicker. Yes I can do eight, and can post them to London. I'd be looking for £200 plus £20 for the postage. Let me know if you want to go ahead.

    Best wishes,

    Ian
