as a break from the subjectivist / objectivist in fighting and as there is but a week to go i thought i'd start a bristol show thread.
who's going? and what kit are you looking forward to seeing / hearing?
personally i'll be there on the saturday and i'll be looking forward to having a listen to some cd players. and laughing at all the 6 figure systems playing nora jones and other somnolent plinque.

Nah, that'll just be in the Omiga Audio room;)

I am going on the Saturday with Lee and Titian. We should meet up in the bar or something. As to what kit I would like to hear, I always find the shows to be a big disappointment in terms of sound quality, but I would quite like to have more of a listen to some living voice avatars/obx's if there are any around. I'll try to give the proac floorstanders another listen, too

I'll be there on the Sat, c/w my better half.

We were there last year, rather enjoyed it.
Not so sure about things we really want to listen to. Probably just try to avoid AV kit. Guess we'll be checking out the Naim pre-amps if they're willing to show them.
After that, just try to enjoy ourselves with variety of CDs that we'll be taking with us.

I will be there on all three days in an official capacity. Hopefully I will get some time to have a wander around a few other rooms.

I just wanted to tell you that last Thursday I was recovered urgently at the hospital because of my kidney problem. In the late evening I was back home though. At the moment everything seems to be good enough to come to England (I just don't want to collapse overthere). Tomorrow I am going back to work.
If something changes I will let you know however.

    cheers

    I'll be there Saturday.

Haven't got a must see/hear list this year, as my shopping list is already planned for this year ;) , so just going along for the social catch-up stuff.

How about a meet up in the bar @ 2pm?

    I hope you're well-recovered titian.

I'm particularly looking forward to hearing what Quad, Living Voice and Ruark have to offer. Also, I'll browse Vivante's vinyl if I can't make it to Redhill before the show.

I'll be there on Saturday. I shall be listening to CD players whilst trying to avoid AV and surround sound. A meet in the bar at 2 pm sounds good.

Damn - would have loved to meet the ZGers this year too - can't go as it's my Uncle's 60th, and my cousin's 30th - she's got a pool party on in the evening and since she's an ex-England netballer there should be a fair few fit women - a just cause for missing a hifi show I guess :)

    September instead?

I wasn't planning to go, but since I have to work on Sunday and otherwise I won't get to say hello to Titian, I'll probably be there on Saturday. There's at least one thing I want to hear.

I'll bring some, ahem, "interesting" music to give Steve's speakers a bit of stick.
