    No idea but it is just a torroidal transformer, it can hardly wear out, it has no moving parts.

    Sadly I don't have a box to ship it in. I was previously able to offer local delivery but I no longer have a car so this is not possible now. It's collection only I'm afraid.

    Maplins have a Tacima 6 way mains conditioning block on sale for around £25 reduced from around £40 if your mate's still looking robert.
    I believe it has a What Hifi 5 star saving FWIW.
