    I made a bit of a bish... The Karan is new and going for £2800 not £1800! still an amazing deal considering they are £4500 new!

    I checked with my friend, it seems my memory rounds prices down!

    Thanks again DL, I guess I always thought it would probably need to be valves.
    My list of options now looks like this;

    Air Tight ATM-1S All tube 36 ish watts
    EAR 834T SS
    CJ CAV50 (s/h) All Tube 50 watts

    I know the EAR 834T is SS but it is one of the few amps that has proved easy to get a home demo of.
    The Air Tight is somewhat over budget but again I can get a home demo.
    I keep wondering about the CAV50 mainly because of the reasonable S/H prices! Would it be too warm and rosey?

    Are there any other amps with 35-50 quality valve watts?

    Moderately, up to £3-4K but for integrated or pre power complete, preferably integrated due to space limitations.

    "The Canary Gotham's here are good value at 4k, but thats still a lot of dough!

    Here they are in america - and the same price used - so a good price from Kevin here.

    Is that 8 x 300B's? That won't cost much come re-valve time!
