Just thinking about how much the system has changed in the last 12 months, and thought I might post a few pictures of the last few changes. Must be the last pieces in the jigsaw now. Can't afford any more.

Anyway here's the new amp and a bit of 70's tuner porn for those that care for that sort of thing:

And a photo of the wonderful Lyra Dorian, just playing with my camera here really:

Sounding lovely at the moment. I'll probably break it soon

Tis a:Target S230. It's not what I ordered but it's what came, and it nearly matches the room, and stops my stuff hitting the floor, and that's what matters

It's doing the dogs whatsits things. I'm running it on the Triode setting as it seems to give a touch more delicacy to proceedings. Those with a penchant for thwack would no doubt appreciate the ultra linear mode

I keep taking hairs off the stylus. It's a bit like those bloody ones you find in your ears as you get older though.

I think I had a TU 88 for a short while ......but the joy of spinning the heavy fly wheel !

My pure 701 just can't compete sonically or tactilly......

We have an S240 rack at work. It's visited the US twice, and we've become expert at quick disassembly and reassembly. It's certainly easier in that respect than mine...

Nice bits and bobs there Lordsummit... when's the next bake off? For that matter, I need to arrange one soon, since I've got the S300 back now (but the CD16 is still poorly...).

Indeed a bakeoff would be good, I reckon September now is going to be the first realistic time, I'm knackered till the summer holidays, then I'm going away, so when I go back to work any Thursday should be possible. I'll let you know as soon as I get my calendar for the next 12 months
