    Markus,

the use of the term "foreigner" was simply to bypass the silly filters that preclude me making full use of my native tongue.

By looking back you will see that I also agree with that POV. What I am waiting to see is some evidence that this is superior to the use of say a Revel Studio in a controlled enviroment, or that it is in any way superior for simply listening to music (the reason for the thread being initiated by Mr Lurch in the first place following some condescending remarks in an unrelated thread)

Why do you insist on derailing perfectly good threads by going off topic all the time?

The thread was about room-compatible speakers for those who are interested in such an approach.

You're comments about speaker-compatible rooms have no place here.

If you are not going to add anything useful to the topic of the thread, please stay out of it ;)

I do hope you're not serious with this.

Since when has a hifi forum been serious Markus?

Nicely put Chris. I know it's a bit selfish to let debate get in the way of willy waving, but I find it entertaining.

Of course I am interested in contributing to this thread - I am all for directional speakers as accuracy is my goal not room sonar soundings.

Your demoronisator - is it Romy The Cat's design?

I think this is complete hogwash. Most musical instruments are "directional", and it is a recording after all.

sorry to join this late (and without reading the rest of the thread  )

but.. I thought that mastering studios typically used speakers that reflected a domestic hifi..in order to get a sound typical of a home user (like B&W's and so forth)

and that recording studios used studio monitors.

I may have it wrong, I have only been in one studio.

    Hi,

It's my friend Roman's (aka. Romy the Cat) Cat.

He also designed the Audio Demoronisator Model 1.

Interesting (if often contentious and OTT) stuff going on over at his site (goodsoundclub.com). I recommend visits only to people whose mental state is stable and which have a tolerant and open mind.

    Ciao T
