    Here's a rather contentious quote from the article

    Hmmm. Not so sure about that.


    As for the success of the technology, it will rather depend I feel on the quality of sounds that you can get with your processed digital signal. This in turn will surely depend on the level of achievement that the software programmers manage. It would have to be truly exceptional I feel to pursuade guitarists to jack their gear in and go with another solution.... its a long way from whacking some 1950's technology through a valve amp!
