Website looks a bit barren on the ''explaining the technology'' thing.

Kudos to them on the upgrade section of their website: free upgrades for existing customers to latest specification. Linn and Naim would splutter their coffee at the thought!! :D

I've been looking for something to replace the 20p pieces currently between my Living Voice speakers and my maple floor, so maybe I'll give them a try. Any other options people are using successfully?

The copper in 2p pieces leads to a clearly-audible deterioration in sound compared to the silver in 20p pieces. The sound from the 20p pieces is much 'faster' and more dynamic.

Eruo's are much better, deeper bass and more open a sound

Have to agree about the euro! Its the silver-within-copper that provides real PRaT.

Shame about the Pound coin, or Maggie: full of brass, rough edges and think's its a sovereign.

If you can strecth to them, two pound coins offer a remarkable upgrade. Granted they're expensive, but adding these to your system will open a whole new window into music.

On the other hand, the two pound coins might come in handy for one of those 'impulse buys'!

    Joe,
I feel if we can get Stillpoints for £2 a pop, then an impulse buy would be very much top of the agenda :D

Whoops! Seem to have started a discussion on relative merits of varied coinage. For the record I use 20p because
    a) They are small and unobtrusive
    b) The silver matches my kit fascias (although, if I refer you back to a) this may not be too relevant)
Of course I did carry our extended listening tests against 50p pieces, but found that, whilst therer was an undoubted and measurable difference, it did not justify the additional outlay.
I think what I really need is the old 1/2 crown. Isn't it always the case that the vintage solution is the best?

Well, quite. For Quad 57s, of course, golden guineas are the only fitting coinage.

I just popped some perfect sound spike cups under mine £15 quid for 8 and they have made no difference other than looking better and (After I removed the rubbery surface on the bottom) I can now slide my speakers about on my floor. WAF is high as I can now slide speakers out for listening and back to the wall as required.
There may be a slight improvement in sound or it could just be the wine who knows? Certainly nothing jaw dropping.

    These http://www.hifi-plus.co.uk/products/perfectbl.jpg

The foamish rubbery bottoms are very immobile once on a wooden floor and a bugger to set up but if your speakers are staying put they'd be ideal. I peeled it off and was left with metal discs which slide well but not unintentionally.
