    Hello,

I was given a Sonic Link interconnect but I have no idea where in the range or what it actually is. All I know is that it sounds pretty good and it's worth £90.

The wire/sheath is purple/dark lilac. The phono-plugs are ceramic (I think - they're certainly not metal) and it says on the side of the wire (not very clearly I might add), 'Sonic Link - Aero-Space Technology, Made in England' and, strangely, 'AST 75 Biwire Speaker Cable'.

Can anyone help identify this interconnect? I'm interested to know as it's 'surplus to requirements' and hence ready for selling...

Many thanks in advance for any assistance!

Try a search on ebay for user audiocrazyguy and ask him, he sells BR and Sonic Link cables so should have a good idea for a price.

    Thanks Andrew.

But £10!!! That's a terrible price (from the POV of the seller) for what was an £80 cable...

that was back in the days when they were using their speaker wire for interconnects. the S300 made the Sonic Link White, for example.
Give them a ring (they're now called Black Rhodium) on 01332 361390, but the AST75 speaker cable is hardly high end material, @ £3/m

That seems the way Andrew... I was thinking about £30. I have a 0.8m pair of VDH D102MKIII for sale on eBay. I should get at least £30 for them, I would hope (that's the reserve anyway).

If I can't get a decent price for them, I might as well keep the Sonic Link for use with my second system.... although the Cable Talk stuff I'm using there is doing a good enough job... ho hum.

Rory, I've got that S300 spkr cable going spare too (as I changed to Chord Co Odyssey).... Now that's something else that needs to go on eBay.....

If you have any trouble selling the cable, the one I was trying to get on ebay fell through so I would be willing to pay up to about £20-22 maximum as I could use a new cable and prefer Black Rhodium ones.

I understand if this is a bit too low

I like the sound of the unusual plugs and if you say it sounds good then I will take a chance.

    Sending PM
