    Looking for original top-loading SACD player. Must be excellent condition and in original boxes with remote control etc.

    I owned one of these years ago, make sure you do your research on the transports, these can break and be unfixable.

    Agreed with Tim F! I had both the SCD1 and SCD 777Es With the Toc error and and NO disc problems! But i found a guy down south who fixed it on both players,I think he got the new laser/transport from Japan.

    Thanks for the advice chaps. I used to have a SCD-1, never had any problems with it and want one again! I'm assuming that as they are 7-8 yrs old they would have gone wrong by now if they are going to fail.

    would be interested to hear your thoughts on this player.... i am considering a slightly older japanese beast of this type for an accuphase / focal system and had been considering the likes of the marantz SA-11S1 and the likes.
