Very sad. I do wonder if people in this country would be as bad if we didn't have 'law and order'.

If you follow some links from that article you find people saying people like Richard Dawkins are as bad as some of the 'believers' for being so outspoken. Anyone who writes a book called that gets points with me though!

I think bringing religion, or not religion into the acts of man is a dangerous thing. One thing is for certain them men had boners whilst they carried out the duties of their 'god.'

Don't any one of you think for one minute you might be more civilised in such a world.

it is in the daily mail for a start.
so is probably the usual propaganda type reporting, adding bits etc.
(but quite obviously not made up in full)

and as a rule people are people no matter where they are from, and will do horrible things to each other regardless of country or race, (just a small bunch of idiots ruining things for others)
think back to some of the horrible crimes in the news from recent years in this country...
horrific as it is, people do equally as horrific things in other countries too.

You may be right in certain cases, but I'd try living in "those" countries before saying that. At least here you can make comment like the ones above without fear of persecution.

Actually I guess it depends if this was a 'common' occurrence. If one were to watch the news of this country without living here you might think murder of children / teenagers was quite common here as well.

    yep, exactly right.

and I'd bet they do think that and worse due to the media bending the truth.

I'd also bet this incident was more than just what it says in that article, it was probably rival gangs (or equivalent) involved and there was revenge or some other motive.

just the kind of thing that happens here, I have heard of people being burnt alive, raped then killed, children being tortured, etc etc over here, in fact I hear it on a monthly or even weekly basis.

there is no "them and us" we are all human and all cultures are capable of horrific things.
