But things will never change until the permissive 'anything goes' attitude of the political centre and left is challenged.

Firm action is required IMHO. Those with strong belief in religions with an anti democratic and/or violent mantra should be barred form any position of influence, that means no school governors, local councilors, MPs, youth leaders etc. Isolate them and hinder the spreading of the poison.

Draconian but necessary IMO if we are to stop the rot.
