You can download whole albums.. many even put the album art in the albums folders....

You can talk to people about music.. some very obsessed muso's live on the boards.

There is plenty of +192, 256's and even 320's and wavs..

    Lots of lame rips

Much broader range of music than kazaa fasttrack, gnuttela etc

The link you have posted here is NOT to soulseek.

This link is a very old link that actually takes you to a site that was originally soulseek but was hijacked and the program offered from the site is Mainpean Stardialer. quote from soulseek forum "Those having problems with popups or adverts may be having problems due to this fact. Remember, when and if you give the site URL out, that it is ************** and NO LONGER http://www.slsk.org"
Mainpean Stardialer is an Expensive sex dialer.
    Alias: HackerSpider
Category: Dialer: Software that dials a phone number. Some dialers connect to local Internet Service Providers and are beneficial as configured. Others connect to toll numbers without user awareness or permission.

EDIT: (by michaelab) I've put the correct URL in Anna K's post now.

I think also you should be careful in that you seem to be advocating the wanton downloading of licenced materials without paying copyrights with no intention of purchasing the genuine articles and thus rewarding the artists involved

That's up to him. I happen to think one should pay for music but OTOH I find p2p very useful for listening and experimenting before I buy :)

Have used this quite a few times now to try out new stuff and it's ok. Does seem that for every search the majority of files found have huge queues on them though.
