I need to buy a new sound card quite ugerntly now, I have some do a multimedia presentation in Macromedia Director so need to edit music for it.

My budget is no more than £50 and I need somthing idealy today. Does anybody know any manchester shops that stock them? I've checked dawson's site but the cheapest one they have is £100.

The comtputer shops only stock the 5.1 crap, I only want a good quality two channel unit.

On the topic of computer components, does anyone know of a program I could download that would tell me what's in the box, so to speak? The graphics card is dying a rapid death and needs replacing short term as I can't really afford to waste money on a PC when all I use it for is internet shopping, email and forum posting. I need to know what sort I need to be looking for. PCI, AGP or whatever.
