    Hey Bifcake,

    Excuse my late entry to the party dude. I've just returned from a two week break in Spain.:cool:

    As has been previously mentioned, do audition the Audio Research CD3 which now, allegedly, has a MkII incarnation. The Mk1 versions, allegedly, can be upgraded to the MkII spec which it is claimed has around 45 new changes. Lower down your maximum price target are the musical Ayre CX-7 (recently upgraded with a new transport mechanism and other changes) and the Electrocompaniet EMC-1 UP which is distributed and sold in the U.S. This MKII version has the 24/192 DAC and a new and improved transport mechanism. If only it did not look so garish!!
