source?

I`ve been considering replacing my current cdp for a while now, i`ve heard some hearty recommendations for the Audionet Artv2 and the Suggy masterclass as a `cd only` player but have also often wondered if a universal player could offer similar quality with the added bonus of the multi format ability. Something along the lines of the Audionet VIP maybe? I know these things are bloody expensive but i would be hoping to buy ex-dem or used as funds are limited. has anyone else drifted over to a universal? If so are you happy with the quality with music? has anyone owned or heard any of the players mentioned above or similar priced? if so, any good?
