    Just a quick one

I,m changing from bi-wire too single run's, the cable I,ve got
has network box's and are like, hose pipe thick.
i understand the Ideal would be some identical cable but being American I have tried to locate some but

have had no luck, still awaitng absolute sounds return call
whats the next best option? and is there a benchmark length for jumpers?

About a 1 year ago I,d have said that the whole cables issue
    was total bollocks...... not anymore..........

these latest cables gave me one of the biggest steps forward in my systems quaility and enjoyment

Do your cables have any lead-out wire?
i.e. some smaller cables that go from your "network box's" to the speaker terminals.
If you do then see if you can get some more of that from the cable manufacturer to use as jumpers.

If you are up to it, you could try opening up your speakers and connecting the HF & LF from your crossover to one set of terminals per speaker.
    ***WARNING***
I would not attempt this unless you are confident about what you are doing and are prepared to invalidate any remaining warranty on your speakers.

I can provide a mean set of twisted silver wire to replace the nasty brass jumpers often used.

Just made my self a set 3 x 50mm 1mm 4n Ag wire per connection.

Hey Pete - heres a nifty one for you.. have you tried this?

I twisted some silver together for my jumpers too... and painted them with some clear varnish - which stopped the silver from corroding and uses air as a dialectic. Good idea eh? :)

If you painted the silver wire with varnish isn't the varnish then the dialectic?

I think you told me l when I came down ...... I did consider it but a quick scuttle with the duraglit
sorts it .........silver tarnish is a conductor so no problems in that department.

And yes the eurathane varnish [?] willnow be the dielectric but its very thin !

I,m using Transparent....... rather by luck than judgement
was offered some too home dem, I had never even considered it as an option because of the horrifiying cost of the stuff

The improvment was so vast i just had to buy some
moved my rack too make the runs as short as poss too reduce cost

    Hi Zanash

sorry about the lack of contact of late,
have now got some matching transparent I/C's to use with speaker cable......
In my current setup this sounds best

L'argent, though very good , just has that slightl brightness at the top end that just does'nt suit my system for extended Listening

    Hi Ya-Boo,

    try an "F" connection

Has anyone tried a bypass of the terminals and directly soldered speaker cables?

    Dave
