I have some huge speakers Mirage M1's and was wondering what's best to de-couple these from the floor ( the more el-cheapo the better).

I currently have small (1cm) bits of brass keeping them a little off the carpet but this is not ideal.

DIY attempts are possible unless I need serious equipment.

    Pics available here http://miragespeakers.com/manuals.shtml

    Thanks, Tim

Go to your local stone mason and get 2 slabs cut, 2 inches wider than the speakers and 2 inches deep.

I did this with my Dynaudio 1.3 MK II's and it helped big time.

    Just like michaelab's :-

Soundcare superspikes cost 50 euros for four, adhesive cost 29 euros a set of three, I have them under my speakers and subwoofers...

They are supposed to keep some noise away from the neigbouhrs, bass and sound to noise ratio improved too...
