    monoblock configured

    :D

Just taken the lid off and its cavernous in there. Lots of options with these cases. Each could happily run a 2 channel 200w+ class-A design. Or a 50w per channel 4 channel class-A. Or a 6 channel 200w Class A/B...

Should be good fun. I decided on the NX150 from Anthony Holton at Aussieamps. But not quite sure whether to run them as 50w class A or 150w A/B, guess I'll have to try both. I plan on triamping in any case.

Might be interesting to rip the XO's out the Kefs and see what can be done by going with digital filtering. Sound like a bit too much hard work to waste on the Kefs though.

Of all the idiots I've ever come across on any forum at anytime in the past 10 years, Shin has to be the most ignorant. I'm extremely glad I wasn't such a twat at 27, otherwise I wouldn't have so many good friends to grow old with. Classless filth.

BBV, for what it's worth, I don't think you will ever find I've claimed to have a creative talent, do point out if I have. I have merely questioned the above troll's right to be offensive to people like Joel, who posesses intelligence and class way beyond Shin Pad's aspirations.

That was off topic wasn't it? :D

Whilst we're at it, your a talentless nobody who doesn't know squat about building a Lego set let alone a pair of decent speakers. You've got pretensions to greatness and promise much but I've seen nor heard nothing that would warrant taking anything you say seriously on the subject of DIY loudspeakers.

Oh and go on, PM the mods here and push for a ban. I've clearly been thoroughly abusive. Sad arse.

Mike, at least Shin has the gumption to publish his thoughts and designs for all to see in a completely upfront manner, presented with a sound engineering approach. He clearly has some expertise and knowledge of method. Even if you disagree with him he still deserves respect for doing so. If you did the same you might well gain more credance. By dissing others in such a derogatory manner on both this and other threads you are setting yourself up as having an expertise beyond theirs - your comments leave no room for doubt on this issue. As does the fact that you dont really step up when asked to.

I am guessing Mike is in his late 40s or early 50s in a job that doesnt really challenge him - with grown up kids and too much spare time and disposable income on his hands and a whole head full of doubts about where his life is going to go next. My advice for him would be sell the porsche jack in the job and do something risky and more rewarding.

What exactly is your connection to the audio industry if any?

BBV, your guess is entertaining. FWIW, you only need to look back and see who started dissing. As usual it was the classless filth. He was rude to Joel. All he has ever done is ask questions of real experts on DIY Audio, take their advice and build some speakers - in the event seriously pissing a number of them off and threatening them then asking for his account to be removed:D

    Twenty Seven? Months?

I don't have any projects to discuss. I am lucky enough to be able to buy what I want, or have it designed for me. I spend my days earning money and my evenings listening to music, relaxing or socialising. I enjoy it. This year I flew out to the Tokyo Audio show and listened to some wonderful speakers.

I had the intention of buying the new JBL Everest had it measured up but sadly it didn't and hence I will be having someone build something to my specification whilst I earn the money to pay for it. I am lucky enough to be able to use the R&D department of a speaker manufacturer to do the work that takes up all of Shin pad's spare time. I get the chance to play with girls and do grown ups things ;)

Ban Shin pads? Oh I don't know it's not my decision. You can look back at his posting history, and see the mount of foul and abusive language aimed at various posters who no longer contribute at all to ZG. Balabce that with the temper tantrums and dummy spitting on DIYAudio and you have a fair picture of an egomaniac. But as I say, not for me to decide.

Mike, have you thought of a career in politics?:D.

I was actually enjoying this thread and was really glad when I saw you and ShinOBIWAN finally getting along. But I guess that warm fuzzy feeling couldn't last:D.

But seriously guys, there is no need for hostilities. Please, exchange ideas, not insults.

Upon reflection the kids part is probably incorrect. Darwinian evolution is so harsh and pitiless sometimes.

It was pretty obvious S&M was putting it on. Shin took it on good faith none the less until Mike revealed his true colours.

Mike, I am still pretty sure you are encountering insuffient challenge in your life. Why not take up a new hobby? Its so much more satisfying for your life if you stray outside the comfort zone a bit more. You should think about settling down with one of those nice girls you keep visiting abroad (presumeably the "playing" you were referring to).

To be frank Joel usually deserves what he gets as I am sure he would be the first to agree ;)

Buy some big active pmcs mike - learn to live dangerously.

Rude to Joel? Rubbish. I'm quite sure he's not one to fly off the handle one someone offers another perspective.

I'm betting your real career desire is a cheap rag journalist. You know the ones that major on sensationalism and self promotion whilst simultaneously dismissing anything that won't make the headlines but is reading of actual substance.

So you've not built anything of note? Not surprised really, imminently rich all that talk before though. Oh and some folks just enjoy DIY for the love of the hobby, if you don't have that passion then you'll never really build anything of note. I'm betting you just see it as a means to an end.

And yes there are people on DIYA that know far more than I might ever hope to. I very often seek their counsel and am wiser for it. Not everything can be self taught and strength comes from seeking advice of your peers. Only a fool would come across as all knowing, especially on subjects such as other projects ;) I've said it before but I only talk about what I know, you'd do well to do the same.

Seriously, I had to post my thanks for that. Not often I laugh out loud whilst browsing these forums but that was one of them.

Your posts have as much substance as the void between your ears.

Do by all means post this "talk" that suggests something other than the truth. The sad fact is it's all in you little mind's imagination young man but that won't stop you convincing yourself.

It's called narcissism. It is treatable - you can get help. And I'm amazed this forum has managed to attract three sufferers in less than two years. or maybe I'm not.

BBV, as a fellow sufferer (who appears to be on medication) maybe you can help, but best not to throw stones eh, especially given all of those web sites you are a "member" of.

Do you realise how amusing that post is coming from you?

If judging by what you said is true then I sense a strong connection between us. Can I add you to MSN? Please?

Is there an add to buddy list feature on here? :D

Visiting web sites is fairly innocuous compared to "active tourism"

By third sufferer do you refer to yourself?

It would appear you have no audio design experience - just a journos passing familiarity. They try to blag kit all the time too ;)
