I ran an A5 pre/pwr firstly with Dynaudio 52s and then Sonus Faber Grand Pianos (original), Copland and Wadia CDP. Both speakers work well, the SF are current hungry and loved the A5 pwr. I'd recommend any of the Dyn standmounts and perhaps Contour floorstanders though I've not heard that combo. The Audience floorstanders and to a lesser extent Focus range seem a touch leaden in the bass.

I know alot of people seem to like them with Proac's. I wasn't so keen, again I just felt the bass wasn't quite right and therefore the timing seemed a little slow and to me at least, unnatural. Just one mans opinion of course (not sure which model, it was a FSer at £1600ish about 3 years ago.

I've been reluctant to join this thread as I agree with Dev. However FWIW I use the Vandersteen 2 Ces with the A5 pre/pwr combo which to my ears is a great match.

The adverts stay in the Trade/Classifieds section.
