    Hi guys,

Has anyone heard the Spectron Musicain II amp? There are few in States going relatively cheap. I think is it based on the Tripath modules. How does it compare with the Belcanto? GregF.

Bit of a thread resurrection but there's not much info on these apart from Audiogon. Primarily enquiring about the III SE. Looking to run a pair of these in mono direct from my msb dac into 803D's. Has anyone had 1st hand experience with them against the big stuff (Krell, Pass, ASR etc)? They're a fair bit cheaper and take up half the space which is tempting and all those on AG that have them stated they trounced the big amps. Seem like a bit of an unknown quantity over here, just wonder if there's a reason not many people are using them......
