hi people, im needing some advice choosing a new pair of standmount speakers for my system - Marantz pm7200 amp, nad 521bee cdp and cambridge audio t500 tuner. I was usisng monitor audio b2's but one of them is damaged now, they sounded a bit too bright for my liking so id like something a little warmer sounding this time. I mainly listen to dance and rock and am looking to spend upto 300. Ive been considering wharfedale pacific evolution 10's, anyone know if they'd work well with my pm7200 ?? any advice or suggestions would be appreciated
    thanks

The Tannoy DC1s work really well with the PM7200 and are a snip at £350.

Yeah, Tannoy sensys DC1's work a treat with the marantz pm7200-and IMHO a much, much better than the monitor audio's. They retail at £450 but can be had for less ex dem and in clearance sales at around £350. They major on detail, neutrality and very, very tight and clean bass. This is the only speaker that i have owened that doesnt leave any trace of bass overhang. The bass is by no means weedy, it goes very deep for a standmount, in fact id say it goes 97% as deep as the much bigger floorstanding mission m53's. that extra 3% may well be bass boom which makes the missions sound a little meatier.
